Swedish Match began the process of building an addition onto their Owensboro plant and hired SKY Engineering for MEP design. This 34,000 square foot addition required eleven new Roof-top Packaged units; four 10-ton units, four 12.5-ton units, 20-ton unit, 7.5-ton unit, and a 15-ton unit. Each unit had natural gas heating and an efficiency of 80%. Two natural gas infrared unit heaters were installed to serve the receiving area. On the Plumbing design, SKY Engineering connected the new domestic water to the water in the existing building. Two new water heaters were installed to serve the new restrooms. Floor drains and trench drains were added to the plan throughout the new facility using a manufactured flood drain line.
